In 2019, we held our first STEM class at the Thomas House Family Shelter. The STEM Workshop was robotics-related and held over two days. On the first day, we taught kids from the Thomas House Shelter about the basics of robotics and their importance/relevance. For the second day, we brought a Lego Mindstorms EV3 Robot and our homemade obstacle course. We taught them how to program the robot and had a competition to see who could program the robot to move through the obstacle course the fastest. The winner got a gift card!
